Since the debut of Communities, it’s been great to see how individuals with shared interests – neighborhoods, school organizations, hobbies, and more – utilize the feature to connect and establish groups that belong together.
To help bring communities closer together, we’re offering a new mechanism for individuals to arrange events on WhatsApp, as well as releasing structured replies to Announcement Groups, which will allow members to reply to critical admin announcements.
With events, users can now schedule their gatherings directly in WhatsApp, whether it’s a virtual meeting or a birthday supper. Anyone may start an event, and others can react, so the entire group knows who is attending.
Guests may also locate the event on the group’s information page.Over the coming several months, we’ll continue to roll out additional features to Communities and Groups, giving individuals more options to manage their lives on WhatsApp.
